Emmanuel Masini – CEO, Researcher & Consultant @ M&U sasAs the CEO of M&U sas and a basin/structural geologist, my ambition is to better link scientific and technical issues of Academic and Industry worlds to create value for both of them.
Emmanuel Masini received his Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Strasbourg (France, 2011) where he focused on tectonics and sedimentary processes of late rifting. He then obtained a post-doctoral position within an academic-industry research consortium on rifted margins (Margin Modelling Phase 3). In 2013, he moved first to the structural and then to the research departments of Total SA. At this position, his challenge was to integrate the observed variability of rifted margins offshore into the geological models of the company as well as to the exploration workflows. He then took the leadership of a still ongoing industry-academic research program (the OROGEN project), the main aim of which is to investigate the reactivation of rifts and rifted margins during orogenesis. He recently created his R&D and consulting company, M&U sas and moved in parallel to the University of Grenoble (ISTerre, France).
